A Partnership Rooted In Cultural Preservation

Heritage Hotels & Resorts has a long-standing history of championing cultural preservation initiatives in New Mexico. Each of their one-of-a-kind properties tells a distinctive story, celebrating the state’s rich, multi-cultural legacy through regionally inspired design, custom artwork, cuisine, music, and entertainment. Beyond the hotels, they actively sponsor cultural programs and events, support local non-profits and scholarship programs, and dedicate a portion of revenue from every room night to culturally and artistically significant endeavors.

The National Institute of Flamenco, founded by the Encinias family in 1982, shares this same mission of cultural preservation through education and performance. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Institute serves over 7,000 students annually and reaches more than 65,000 audience members through performances and arts outreach. Its impact spans from introducing young children to flamenco at the Conservatory of Flamenco Arts, to training professional artists in Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company, the only U.S.-based flamenco company ever invited to perform at Spain’s prestigious Festival de Jerez. Through collaborations with the University of New Mexico, Tierra Adentro Charter School, and international guest artists at Festival Flamenco Alburquerque, the Institute has built the most vibrant center for flamenco outside of Spain.

Together, Heritage Hotels & Resorts and the National Institute of Flamenco united their missions of cultural advancement and preservation to create Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque. This one-of-a-kind venue, located inside Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, offers an authentic tablao experience that brings world-class flamenco artists to the heart of New Mexico. It is not only a stage for unforgettable performances, but also a living embodiment of the cultural partnership between a hospitality leader and a non-profit arts institution.
