Kayla Lyall
An Albuquerque native, Kayla Lyall began her flamenco training at the National Institute of Flamenco as a young girl and traveled to Spain in 2008 to deepen her study before returning to teach and perform as a principal dancer with Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company. She holds a Master of Arts in Education and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of New Mexico, and spent eleven years establishing a flamenco program at Tierra Adentro charter school. In 2025, Kayla premiered her first solo work, NUDE, which returned as a main stage production at Festival Flamenco Albuquerque 2026.

Andrea Lozano
Andrea M. Lozano began her dance training at the age of four and moved to Albuquerque in 2014 to study flamenco under the Encinias family at the National Institute of Flamenco, where she has taught for over eight years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Flamenco from UNM, where she now serves as Adjunct Faculty, and is a Senior Corps Dancer with Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company. Andrea performs regularly at Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque and has taken the stage at the prestigious Festival de Jerez in Spain.
